Your role
As a Senior Backend Developer, you design and operate the scalable core systems of our video infrastructure.
You develop APIs, orchestrate cloud services, and ensure millions of users experience stable performance.
Modern AI tools help you code, test, and monitor faster, safer, and more sustainably.
Your tasks
- Develop and optimize high-performance backend systems in Node.js and TypeScript (e.g. with NestJS).
- Apply AI-powered tools (e.g. Claude Code, Codex, Copilot, ChatGPT, automated testing/deployment workflows) to improve code quality and accelerate processes.
- Design and maintain well-documented REST APIs for web, mobile, and server-to-server communication.
- Build and scale cloud infrastructures on AWS (Lambda, SQS, SNS, ECS, EC2, S3, CloudFront, ALB, CDK/CloudFormation, CloudWatch, Redis, VPC).
- Database design and optimization with PostgreSQL, optionally CrateDB (time series), DynamoDB, and Elasticsearch.
- Ensure stability, security, and monitoring in Unix/Linux environments with Docker.
- Optional: develop event-driven architectures, microservices, or real-time systems (e.g. for video delivery, adaptive streaming, real-time ad bidding).
Your profile
- Several years of experience building scalable backend systems with Node.js in vanilla JS and/or TypeScript.
- Deep knowledge of cloud infrastructures on AWS, including key services and deployment automation.
- Strong skills with relational databases like PostgreSQL; time series, NoSQL, or graph database knowledge is a plus.
- Proficient with Unix/Linux, Docker, and network technologies (HTTP, DNS).
- Comfortable using AI-powered developer tools to shorten development cycles and improve code quality.
- High quality standards, test-driven development, and enthusiasm for new technologies.
- Excellent English; German is a plus.
